PROJECT QUESTION: The ‘typical dripline installation’ detail on sheet 50 of the plans shows the dripline being buried in amended soils. Typically dripline is installed above any soils and directly underneath mulch. Is installing dripline above soils directly under the mulch acceptable?

Question: The ‘typical dripline installation’ detail on sheet 50 of the plans shows the dripline being buried in amended soils. Typically dripline is installed above any soils and directly underneath mulch. Is installing dripline above soils directly under the mulch acceptable?

Response: Yes, installing dripline above the soils directly under the mulch is acceptable and applicable plan set and specification changes have been made to reflect this. Dripline shall be installed in an on-surface application. Install 6 inch soil staple per manufacturer recommended spacing. On-Surface dripline in areas seeded with little bluestem shall be installed under erosion control blanket. See Addendum 1- Reissued Plan Set Page R50.1.

In Division S, Page 720-S, Additional requirements for 2571.3.K.2.a.(3) language was removed to reflect this change. Refer to Addendum 1.
